A tanker carrying fuel has lost control along the Abuja-Keffi Expressway crashing into the pedestrian bridge at MOPOL Junction in Nyanya.


The accident occured in the early hours of Tuesday, causing serious traffic gridlock on the Nyanya corridor of the Expressway.
Federal Road Safety Corps officials have cordened off the road advising commuters to take alternative routes in either Nyanya-Karu or Nyanya-Jikwoyi axis to avoid the gridlock.
Firefighters have also arrived the scene to prevent possible explosion.

The fuel tanker was heading towards Keffi when it ran into the pedestrian bridge.
