The Chairman, Fulani Development Association of Nigeria, FULDAN, Adamawa State, Mallam Salihu ABBA says the daylight abduction of hundreds of school children in Katsina state has the failure of the federal government in securing her citizens to the limelight.
ABBA who stated this at the annual meeting of the civil society action coalition on education for all in Abuja expressed shock at the various attacks on education, described the recent kidnap of hundreds of school children from Government Science Secondary School Kakanra Katsina, as disheartening.

Meanwhile, a Professor of Community Development, Muhammad Shittu of Bayero University, event faulted the shutting down of schools by the Kano State apparently because Kankara incident.
Stakeholders at the event said the country’s education can be better, but there must be adequate funding, commitment from government on the safety of schools and children from attacks.
