A lecturer with the Federal University of Technology, Minna whose identity is yet to be disclosed is among 6 persons who reportedly lost their lives in a fatal auto crash along the Lambata–Suleja road in Niger State.
Spokesperson of the Niger State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Deborah Yakubu confirmed that 11 people were involved in the accident when a DAF truck and a Peugeot 406 car collided at Gwachipe village, about 3 kilometers from Lambata on the Minna – Suleja highway.
ait.live gathered that three of the victims died on the spot of the accident, while the other three gave up the ghost while they were being rushed to the General Hospital in Suleja.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Command in the State have attributed the accident to overspeeding and cautioned motorists to be careful while driving.
