Gale Of Defections Won’t Deter PDP Ahead Ondo Guber Poll -Ajisafe

The Leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in the South West has expressed confidence that the recent gale of defections of some supporters to opposition party in Ondo state will not affect its chances in the November 16 Governorship Election.

South West Zonal Chairman of the Party ,Kamoru Ajisafe gave the assurance during the Inauguration of the PDP Ondo state caretaker committee on Monday.

Over the Weekend there was news in media space that Loyalists of Former Governor Olusegun Mimiko,who are currently members of PDP are pitching their tent with the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ondo state.

This development is coming few months to the Governorship Election in the state.

However the Zonal Chairman of the PDP in the south west, Kamoru Ajisafe used the occasion of inauguration of the new caretaker committee in the state to assure that the party is not deterred by the development .

Ajisafe alongside other leaders charged the newly inaugurated caretaker committee Led by Bakitta Bello to take advantage of the current economic reality in the country to reposition and strengthen the party .

The eighteen man committee is expected to run the affairs of the party for a period of not exceeding three months or till a new executive committee is Elected.
