The people of Gokana local government area of rivers state came out in their numbers on Saturday to cast their votes for the candidates of their choice.
The election has been described as peaceful and orderly as security men were fully on ground.
Some of the candidates commended RESIEC for a job well done but urged the electoral umpire to ensure that the right thing was done by not playing to the dictates of any political party.
