Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinibu’s support to the vision of Agro industrial revolution as the president has approved the sum of One Hundred and Twenty Billion Naira for the construction of an Agro-Livestock Development Zone.
Gov Inuwa who described the zone as a turning point says the One Hundred and Eighty Four hectare project will house an ultra modern abattoir, an international cattle market, tannery, leather processing plant and a dry inland port.
A turning point indeed as the project provides an opportunity to transform the state resources into an investment haven in the Agro Market.
Here, the State Government wants to change the narrative in the commercial value of cattle and other agro products into a modern market of processed goods and services.
The Federal Government says it wants to partner with states in making the renewed hope agenda feasible in the agro economy.
Obviously, the beneficiaries would want to be part of the project.
The government says it hopes to finish the project in nine months time to herald a new era in pastoral agriculture away from its traditional nomadic practices
