Gombe Gov. Presents 2024 Appropriation Bill To State Assembly

Gombe State government is proposing the sum of two hundred and seven billion, seven fifty million, two hundred thousand naira for 2024 fiscal year.


According to the state governor Inuwa Yahaya the state government is taking a giant step by raising its capital expenditure to the sum of one hundred and twenty billion, five hundred million and its recurrent expenditure to the sum of eighty-seven billion, two hundred and fifty million, two hundred thousand Naira.


The governor also noted that the state’s ambitious move stems from the performance of the 2023 budget which stands at 57.4%

An ambitious move by the state government as it begins a new phase of governance following its victory at the last election, this time the state government propose to carry on with the purpose of development and continuity

Delivering the budget, the state governor highlighted the position of the state in ensuring an improved performance of the budget

As usual Works sector takes majority of the pie with fifty billion in 2024 followed by Education and Health taking the second and third highest in the pie with other sectors feeling the effect of the state governments intervention

With the government’s stance on a healthy debt profile, officials believe the state can fund the 2024 budget

The state governor disclosed that it is working on issuing a fifty-billion-naira green bond which is receiving a favourable response at the Climate change conference in Dubai

Indeed, the state government believes it can achieve its goals as it hope to consolidate on developing the state for the future
