Gombe state government has given the assurance that it would align with stakeholders and partners on strengthening both family planning and child spacing initiative through enlightenment on the advantages the initiative would provide in planning for the families and the state government.
The state deputy governor who disclosed this during the end of a two year child spacing programme tagged “The Challenge initiative”, added that the state would key into the principles of the programme and sustain it.
That initiative tagged “The Challenge initiative”, has brought government officials and the women to participate in child spacing and family planning programmes.

For the state government, the programme has brought the best in management of the family health facilities and planning for the population in the state.
The Initiator the programme said Gombe is one of the states that has performed creditably in the programme.
The ministry of health assured it would sustain the principles of the initiative even after the partnership ends.
Stakeholders in the health sector believe that the state is on track in policies of affordable health care practices and planning.
