The new Commissioner of Police, Gombe State Command, Ahmed Maikudi Shehu has promised to tackle firmly extortions by a few bad eggs within the formation.
Speaking with Journalists shortly after assuming office; Shehu said he has the mandate to establish a proactive police command and that under his watch criminals in the state will have no hiding.
The Police Chief promised to sustain the current efforts by his predecessor and build on them to keep the streets of Gombe state safe for its people.

The new Commissioner of Police takes over from Bello Makwashi who was redeployed to the Muritala Mohammed Airport Lagos.
