The Gombe State Government says it has not enrolled into the national pension contributory scheme and so cannot remit workers pension deductions.
Commissioner for Information, Alhassan Kwami said this anomaly is due to the huge backlog of arrears incurred by the administration of Governor Yahaya Inuwa with efforts being made to clear them and get enrolled bg the National Pension Commission.

In another development, the State Government says it is planning to construct a new Secretariat to accommodate most of its agencies that are still in rented apartments
Officials of the State Government disclosed this during an engagement with journalists on the activities of the administration to explain the various policies and programmes adopted since it was inaugurated.
