Gombe State Government says it is collaborating with the World Bank and the European Union, EU for establishment of an ambitious hydroelectricity dam project using the potentials of Balanga Dam to generate 320 megawatts of energy for rural electrification and irrigation.
This follows the approval of the project by the Executive Council as the State Government begins preparation for the 2025 budget.
The Council also approved more developmental projects for the state for the last quarter of the year including initiatives in the health sector.
The State Government believes it is on track to ensure development for the people in the state as it announces plans for next year’s appropriation bill with the approval of 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework, MTEF.
