Tributes have continued to go out to the late gospel music artiste and the Wellu Wellu singer, Sammie Okposo who died in the early hours of Friday, November 25, 2022 .
The singer who was reported to have collapsed last week after his return from his Praise Concert held in the United Kingdom was immediately treated for exhaustion before he passed on in his sleep according to a family statement signed by Hector Okposo .
Though Abdul and Buchi described the singer’s death as a rude shock, they expressed joy that he used his voice to promote gospel music within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
The late Sammie Okposo who hailed from Delta State, South-South Nigeria has to his credit songs such as “Good God”, “Everybody Look”, “Addicted”, “Na Only God”, “Hallelujah”, “Na Only You I Know” among other gospel songs.
