Gov. Adeleke Pays Condolence Visit To Akinlalu Community After Amotekun Attack

Osun state Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke has pledged to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators of the Akinlalu’s killing promising to dig into the root of the incident and prosecute any infraction within the context of the law.

Speaking at the palace of oba alakinlalu Governor Ademola Adeleke assured the people of the community that all hands are on deck to fish out the perpetrators of the barbaric act.

The governor, who has just returned from a medical trip abroad, was accompanied to the community by top government officials and security chiefs, to commiserate with the people and families of the deceased

Speaking on behalf of the youths and the people of the community, the youth’s leader appreciated government efforts and appealed to the governor for immediate suspension of the state Amotekun Commander, Adekunle Omoyele pending conclusion of investigation into the incident.

Osun state Commissioner of Police who was represented by DCP Yusuf Taiwo, commended residents of the community for their cooperation with the police, and assured them of proper investigation and prosecution.

In his condolence message, Governor. Ademola Adeleke assured the people of Akinlalu Community that his administration will work closely with the police to ensure proper interrogation and prosecution of anyone found culpable in the killing that took many lives.

Recall that two weeks ago residents of Akinlalu had alleged that Amotekun operatives invaded the community shooting sporadically leading to the killing of four persons while eight others were critically injured.
Prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of those that died during the incident and for peace to reign in the community.
