Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has signed into law the amendment bill to increase the number of judges in the state’s judiciary.
Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted the importance of the amendment, which increases the number of judges in the state judiciary from twenty four to thirty five .
This is the first bill signed by Governor Aiyedatiwa since his assumption of office as the 7th Executive Governor of the state.
The Signing of the bill is coming after the state House of Assembly deliberated and passed the amended bill to increase the number of judges in the state Judiciary to Law.
Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that this increase in the number of judges to 35 reflects his administration’s dedication to strengthening the judiciary, which he described as the backbone of democracy.

Aiyedatiwa said the occasion demonstrates Government unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and the Rule of Law.
Earlier the state chief Judge,Justice Olusegun Odusola who commended Governor Aiyedatiwa noted that the increase in number will help reduce the workload of the judges.
The signing ceremony witnessed lawmakers, judicial officers, and other key stakeholders celebrate the landmark achievement.
