The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has sent a condolence message to his Kogi State counterpart, Governor Usman Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.
Alia also extended his commiserations to the entire people of Kogi State, over the passing of their illustrious son and community leader, who was fondly loved and respected by his people.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State governor, Tersoo Kula described the loss of a parent as painful, but urged the Kogi State colleague to take solace in the fact that his late father instilled leadership qualities in him during his lifetime, and was also endeared to many with his devotion to Islamic tenets and community service.
He prayed to the Almighty God to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant his soul eternal rest.
The late Momohsani Ododo, 83, reportedly died earlier this week after a brief illness, and has since been buried in Okene, Kogi State, according to Islamic rites.
