The Benue state Government has immortalized Benue born media Icon Late Dan Agbese by renaming the Benue printing and publishing company, publishers of the Voice newspapers as Dan Agbese publishing company.
State Governor Hyacinth Alia disclosed this when he received the remains of the late Dan Agbese in Makurdi the state capital.
This he said is to expedite action on the announcement he made earlier during a live broadcast marking the Golden Jubilee anniversary of Benue State, immortalizing the late icon.
The renaming is expected to institutionalize excellence in public communication, preserve Chief Agbese’s legacy and inspire future generations to pursue truth and service with courage and professionalism.

This change which shall apply in all official documents, communications, legal instruments, signage, branding materials and public references takes effect immediately as all relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies have been directed to take necessary administrative and legal steps to ensure full compliance and implementation.
The Governor believes that honoring Dan Agbese in this manner will strengthen the culture of responsible journalism, ethical publishing and intellectual development within the state and therefore calls on all citizens of Benue state, particularly media practitioners, writers, students and public servants to uphold the values exemplified by the late Dan Agbese.
Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia reiterated his admiration’s commitment to recognize merit, preserve Benue’s heritage and build institutions that reflect the dignity, history and aspirations of the people.
