Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade has expressed optimism that when all the industries completed by his government begin to operate in full capacity in 2022, they will help to generate additional revenues into the State coffers.
Ayade stated this when he signed the state budget size of N354.5 billion with an assurance that the budget of “Conjugated Agglutination will bring about greater performance.
He said his administration industrial policy and ambitious budgeting have taken development in Cross River to an enviable height.
Speaking earlier, the Speaker of Cross River House of Assembly, Etengs Williams said the budget was passed in time in the overall interest of the state even as the Commissioner For Finance, Asuquo Ekpeyong Jnr, said its implementation will be impressive.
A breakdown of the budget shows that whike personnel cost amounts to N11.9 Billion, overhead is put at N354, 107.96; leaving
capital expenditure at N225.7Billion and Statutory expenditure at N9.8Billion.
