Gov Ayade’s wife to lead South-south APC women to demand 50% affirmative action

Linda Ayade, Wife of the Cross River State Governor is set to moblise women in the South-South geopolitical zone to demand for fifty percent Affirmative Action from the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, during a rally in Calabar.

Ayade who briefed journalists in her office in Calabar said Tinubu’s track record shows he is a leader known to provide opportunities for women.

The Cross River First lady said with the political will, population and voting strength that women have, demanding for fifty pecent of positions in government is not too much to request from their presidential candidate.

She called on those yet to collect their Permanent Voter Registration card to do so without delay.

Women of the All Progressives Congress from Cross River, Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Akwa Ibom and Delta are expected to attend the rally.
