The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has appealed for an Equitable distribution of Employment, Political Appointments and infrastructure for the State at the Federal Character Commission, FCC.
Governor Diri noted that the people of the state were ready to take up such opportunities, but have often been short changed.
The Governor spoke when he received the Commissioner representing Bayelsa State in the Federal Character Commission, Tony Okio this Thursday in Yenagoa.
He urged the Commissioner to pally with representatives of the State at the National Assembly to attract more federal presence especially in engaging the people at the Federal level even as the commissioner pledges to deliver on the mandate given to him.
