Governor Governor, Douye Diri signs 2025 appropriation bill of N699.5 billion into law

The Bayelsa state Governor, Douye Diri has signed the state’s 2025 appropriation bill of N699.5 billion into law as passed by the state House of Assembly.

Tagged “Budget of ASSURED Prosperity”, the Governor after appending his signature says it will address the basic needs of Bayelsans, assuring that his administration will continue to show transparency and accountability to the people of the state.

Christened budget of “ASSURED Prosperity”, the Bayelsa State 2025 appropriation bill sent to the state house of Assembly on October 31st had an estimate of six hundred and eighty nine billion naira.

After going through the lawmaking process the bill was presented to the Governor by the leadership of the state legislature with an increment of ten billion naira, totalling, six hundred and ninety nine billion naira for the Governor’s accent.

Governor Douye Diri after appending his signature to the document, making it a working document of the state, says the budget will help to fast track infrastructure that will stimulate economic growth, providing fertile grounds for better standard of living for the people.

Governor Diri is also prioritizing critical projects with his attention focused on constructing a world class sport stadium.

Diri expressed gratitude to the lawmakers for their synergy and speedy passage of the budget, believing that with all parameters in place, the law will be beneficial to all Bayelsans.
