Local Government Caretaker Chairmen of the 31 Local Councils in Akwa Ibom state have been directed to submit their scorecards of their six-month administration immediately or risk being kicked out.
Governor Umo Eno gave the directives at the commissioning of a bridge at Obot Akara LGA.
Governor Umo Eno had written to the state legislature for an extension for another six months but has also fired a note of warning to the chairmen to show reasons why they should continue in office.
Governor Eno who reiterated his commitment to infrastructure development ordered the reconstruction of the St Paul’s Catholic Primary School which was used as the venue for the commissioning of the Ikot Ide-Ikot Amba 60 meter span bridge with 800metre approach road.
He also used the occasion to direct the empowerment of female youths for their support to his administration.
The Governor also announced the construction of another bridge at Mbiaso in Obot Akara.
