Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara has said that his top priority is to make the majority of the State’s people happy, regardless of their tribe or political affiliation.

In keeping with his mantra of “Rivers First,” the Governor assured that he would continue to embark on projects and policies that will make life more meaningful for the people.

Governor Fubara, who spoke at the commissioning of some completed roads which were abandoned by previous administrations in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, also vowed to fulfil every promise made to the people as well as deliver projects embarked upon by his administration.

The joyous residents of the Mgbaraja community in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area trooped out in their numbers to welcomy their Governor, Siminalayi Fubara and his Taraba State counterpart, Agbu Kefas.

It was their own little way of showing appreciation to the Governor for coming to their rescue after previous administrations had abandoned them and condemned the people to navigate a most deplorable road network.

Governor Fubara had, in May this year, flagged off the construction of the Okania – Ogbogoro – Mgbaraja, and the Mgbuob roads, which had for a long time been in a terrible state of disrepair.

Commuting was a nightmare for the residents, and those who could no longer bear the hardship relocated to other areas.

On Thursday, their songs of lamentation had been turned into songs of joy and praise to God and their Governor.

In keeping with his mantra of “Rivers First,” Governor Siminalayi Fubara told the crowd that the primary goal of his administration is to make the people happy, stating that he would continue to embark on projects and policies that will make life more meaningful for them.

He emphasised that Governance, is all about the interest and happiness of the people, and not patronage to a few persons and individuals.

Governor Fubara had invited his colleague from Taraba State, Agbu Kefas to commission the road project.

Governor Kefas ceased the occasion to applaud what he described as the transformative development taking place in Rivers State under the Fubara watch.

The Taraba State Governor further stressed the importance of collaboration and shared visions among the 36 State Governors to improve the lot of the Nigerian people and achieve meaningful development across the country.
