Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has charged members of his cabinet to stand for justice and the interest of Rivers State at all times, stressing that anything short of that will not be accepted
Speaking after he presided over the swearing in of nine commissioners who resigned from his cabinet at the height of the political crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party PDP family in the state, Governor Fubara also advised them to do their jobs diligently, warning that posterity will remember each of them for whatever contributions they make to the development of the state

The swearing-in event is coming a day after the Supreme Court affirmed his victory in the March 18, 2023, Governorship Election
Those sworn in on Friday are Professor Zaccheus Adango, Alabo George Kelly, Isaac Kamalu, Professor Chinedu Mmon, and Chukwuemeka Woke
Others are Inime Aguma, Jacobson Mbina, Gift Worlu, and Austin Ben Chioma

Citing personal reasons, the group of nine who are said to be loyal to the immediate past governor of the state and now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike voluntarily resigned at the height of the political crisis rocking the state
Their reinstament is in fulfilment of one of the conditions of the Presidential Peace agreement by Governor Sim Fubara, who insists that no amount is too much to pay for peace to reign in Rivers State
As they settle down to work, Governor Fubara wants the returning commissioners to be upright and also defend the interest of the state at all time
Governor Sim Fubara also used the opportunity to call on the people to join hands with his administration to build a united, peaceful, and prosperous Rivers State.
