Imo State Government has said it is working on plans to provide welfare package to Police officers and other security agencies in the State.
Governor Hope Uzodinma disclosed the plans when he paid a visit to the Police Command headquarters in Owerri to commiserate with the leadership and personnel over the death of some of their members at the peak of insecurity in the state.

The Governor said the social welfare package is aimed at motivating and encouraging the security agencies in the State.
Uzodinma however warned those behind the bloodletting in the State to desist from the criminal act.
The Police Commissioner in Imo state, Abutu Yaro commended the Governor for the visit and expressed optimism that the visit would boost the morale of officers.
Meanwhile about 75 police men were reported to have been killed by unknown gun men in the South East in the last 5 months.
