Gov. Kefas Flags off Takum-Lissam Road Project

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has flagged off the construction of the Takum-Lissam Road, linking Takum and Ussa Local Government Areas of the State.

The launch of the 12-kilometre road construction project is expected to ease the movement of travellers, Agriculture produce, and enhance security surveillance when completed.

The Flagg off of the project signals the Governor’s priority on infrastructure development, as captured in his 2026 budget presentation.

The 12-kilometre road project linking Takum and Ussa Local Government Areas of Taraba State aims to improve connectivity, foster economic growth, and ease the movement of travellers and Agricultural output.

Governor Agbu Kefas inaugurated the project, with an assurance of his administration’s commitment to improving the living standards of citizens, especially rural dwellers, through the provision of basic social amenities.

The Governor said on assuming office, he laid the foundation for infrastructural development in the State by prioritizing security and unity.

Taraba’s Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Moseh Luka, said the Takum–Lissam road construction will ease the hardship faced by commuters.

The Senator representing Taraba South Senatorial District, David Jimkuta, and the Member representing Takum, Ussa and Donga Federal Constituency, Mark Bako Useni, commended Governor Kefas for taking up the construction of the abandoned road project.

The Takum-Lissam Road project which is expected to be completed before the end of the year 2026, will also boost socio-economic development of benefiting communities, and security surveillance.
