The landmark event, scheduled for Wednesday, 18th February 2026, marks another major step by the administration to tackle insecurity and restore lasting peace across communities in the state.

In a statement issued by the Director General of Media and Communications to the Governor, Nuhu Salihu described the launch as a significant milestone in its broader security strategy.

The ceremony will be led by Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, under whose leadership the advanced security assets were procured.

According to the statement, the introduction of armored vehicles and cutting-edge drone technology represents more than just the acquisition of new equipment, it signals renewed hope for residents.

The surveillance drones are expected to enhance intelligence gathering and enable rapid response to security threats, while the APCs will boost the operational capacity of security forces working to protect lives and property.

The government added that the initiative reflects its firm commitment to leveraging modern technology and strategic investment to address ongoing security challenges and ensure the safety of citizens across the state.
