The Oyo State Governor while commissioning the 150 kilometers dualized Oba Adesoji Aderemi bypass, stressed the importance of continuity in governance, emphasizing that public projects are assets for the people and should not be abandoned due to political differences.

He warned the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje over desperation to take over Oyo and Osun States from the opposition PDP in the next elections, stating that such moves and calculations would meet a brick wall in the two South West Nigerian States.

In his speech, Governor Ademola Adeleke said the project was in fulfilment of his promise not to abandon projects inherited from his predecessors.

Gov Adeleke directed security agencies and road safety authorities to enforce safety codes on the roads, and urged the Ministry of Works to consider the construction of speed breakers where necessary along the route.
