Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah

Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, says the way Africans currently trade and commute among themselves is unacceptable, and is calling on the United Nations Development Programme to support his administration’s efforts to change that narrative.

Governor Mbah made the call on Thursday when he received the Resident Representative of the UNDP, Elsie Attafuah, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Lion Building, Enugu State Government House.

The Governor said beyond trade, his administration is looking forward to deepening collaboration with the UNDP in areas such as education, healthcare, digital economy, and tourism.

For her part, the UNDP Resident Representative, Elsie Attafuah, said the purpose of her visit was to engage in a conversation on how the UNDP which is the United Nations’ highest development agency, can support Governor Mbah’s bold and transformative vision.

She notes that with visionary leaders like Governor Mbah making visible progress, the UNDP feels strongly about rallying support around them to show the world that impactful leadership is indeed possible.
