Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, Friday, flagged off the construction of the Centre for Experiential Learning and Innovation, describing it as a key component of the sustainability plan for the Enugu Smart School projects being developed across the state’s 260 wards.
The Centre located within the premises of the Enugu State College of Education (Technical), is being funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and is expected to be completed within six months.
It will serve as a training hub for smart teachers and directors of experiential learning, who will be deployed to the Enugu Smart Green Schools and beyond, extending their expertise to other schools outside the state.

Governor Mbah, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, emphasized that the goal of his administration’s educational reform is to build Enugu State’s human capital and develop a skilled workforce.
The government revealed that in addition to TETFund’s support, the school is collaborating with international institutions for the operation and further development of the Centre.
