Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah

As tributes continue to pour in from across the globe over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has joined other national and world leaders in mourning what he described as a colossal loss to Nigeria and humanity.

In a personally signed condolence message, Governor Mbah described Buhari as one of the most honest and patriotic leaders to have served the country.

He noted that Buhari’s leadership, both as military head of state in 1984 and as a democratically elected president in 2015, was defined by integrity, discipline, and a commitment to national development.

“He was an embodiment of service and dedication to the fatherland. His life is a lesson to upcoming leaders that leadership is about the downtrodden and the vast number of people who need development”, Governor Mbah stated.

On behalf of the government and people of Enugu State, the governor extended his condolences to Buhari’s family, the people of Katsina State, the Federal Government, and all Nigerians.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the former president’s soul.
