Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has assured of his government’s is commitment to creating a conducive environment for the success of the African Development Bank (AfDB) sponsored Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) in the State.

Governor Mbah, stated this during a meeting with AfDB’s Director General, Lamin Barrow, and Jitender Sachdeva of Skipper Seil Limited, on Thursday at the Government House in Enugu.
The Governor not only commended the selection of Enugu for the second phase of the programme, but also noted that its objectives align with his government’s vision.
Highlighting the collaborative nature of the initiative, Barrow noted that SAPZ aims at mobilizing private sector investments to develop value chains for strategic crops and livestock in participating states.
He also explained that the program extends its impact beyond agriculture, to include, investments in sectors such as energy and healthcare.
