Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has held interactive sessions with residents of Edo North and Central Senatorial Districts on the State’s 30-year development masterplan which aims to revolutionise Edo and set it on the path of sustainable growth and development.
The seperate engagement sessions which provided a platform for the key players to reason and exchange views took place at Afuze, Auchi and Irrua.
Official documents obtained by ait.live show that the 30-year development masterplan for Edo State seeks to address sustainability issues through focus on critical development, private sector enhancement, human capacity and infrastructure development.
To this end, Governor Godwin Obaseki along with members of the State Executive Council and other relevant persons have held interactive sessions with residents of the six Local Government Areas that make up Edo North Senatorial District.
The meetings which took place at Afuze in Owan East LGA and Auchi in Etsako West LGA, brainstormed on ways to adequately plan for a better tomorrow for the zones and their people.
A similar session took place at Irrua in Esan Central with indigenes drawn from the five Local Government Areas of Edo Central Senatorial District.
Security, education, roads, transportation, agriculture, among other issues were tabled and discussed at the various sessions.
