The Edo State Government is working on an ultramodern hospital with state-of-the-art facilities to cover the treatment of a vast number of illnesses and diseases.
Speaking after inspecting the Stella Obasanjo hospital being rebuilt in Benin City, Governor Obaseki revealed that the aim is to adequately cater for healthcare services sought abroad by Nigerians.

Once completed, the hospital which is being remodelled for quality healthcare delivery will provide a wide range of services.
Governor Obaseki wants the medical centre to cater for health needs from within and outside the state.
Treatment at the medical facility will be made accessible to the masses through the State Health Insurance Scheme.
The Stella Obasanjo Hospital sits on a large expanse of land designated the medical hub of Edo state.
A mother and child medical centre is also sited in the area, with space made available for an orthopaedic hospital expected to be built by the Federal Government.
