Gov. Obaseki takes campaign to 10 wards in Esan West

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Amenya of Ekpoma in Esan West Local Government Area.

The title was conferred on him in recognition of his goodwill and transformational achievements since the inception of his administration in November, 2016.

The Governor and his entourage were at the palace of Onojie of Ekpoma, His Royal Highness, Anthony Ehizojie Abumere II in continuation of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Ward-to-Ward Campaign tour of Edo Central Senatorial District and to seek the royal blessings and prayers of the monarch.

Ekpoma is the administrative headquarters of Esan West.

The Onojie of Ekpoma, appreciated the development strides of Governor Obaseki and it was on the strength of this that he conferred on him the prestigious title of the Amenya of Ekpoma.

The monarch also conferred the title of the Ofure of Ekpoma on Obaseki’s running mate, Philip Shuaibu.

The Onojie of Ekpoma expressed gratitude to Governor Obaseki for the honour done to an illustrious son of Esan land and former Governor late Ambrose Ali.

The Governor seized the occasion of the visit to Esan West to commission some projects including the 7.1 Odumegbo-Ihumudumun-Royal Market road and the 2.3 kilometre Ujuele road.

Chairman of the State Campaign Council, Dan Orbih said the people oriented projects were enough to guarantee victory at the polls for Governor Obaseki.
