Kogi state Governor, Usman Ododo, has flagged of the disbursement of Community Revolving Fund under the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid landscapes (ACReSAL)
The project worth N370million to 208 beneficiaries, the
disbursement of the Community Revolving Fund is facilitated in partnership with the World Bank.
It is aimed at revolutionising agricultural practises and ensure food security in Kogi State.
The kogi state chief executive said
the disbursement of Community Revolving Fund is projected to have a positive impact on the lives of the beneficiaries and the agriculture sector of the state.
Governor Ododo who highlighted some of the steps taken by his administration to boost food production reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to agriculture development in Kogi State.
The State Project Coordinator of Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid landscapes, Ladi Jatto, alongside the Commissioner for environment, Joseph Oluwasegun,
assured the people of the state that the loan would boost agricultural practices in the catchment areas leading to increased food production and security.
Beneficiaries of the loan commended the state governor for paying due attention to the plight of rural farmers.
The Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid landscapes project is a proactive initiative aimed at addressing the challenges of climate change and support community agriculture efforts.
