Gov. Okpebholo Commits to Advancement Of Business Environment

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, says his administration is committed to fostering a business-friendly environment to attract investors to the state.

The Governor made this known during a visit to a Private Steel Manufacturing Company in the Ogua Community of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area where he assured investors of a conducive and enabling environment that will support business growth in the state.

Governor Monday Okpebholo, during an inspection of a private steel manufacturing company located in Ogua, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, expressed gratitude to the company for its significant contribution to the growth and development of the state.

He urged the company to remain committed to its social responsibilities and to prioritize promoting Edo people to management positions.

The Governor also reassured potential investors of a business-friendly environment in the state.

In a another engagement, Governor Okpebholo visited the abandoned water fountain at the popular King’s Square in Benin City.

He announced plans by his administration to revitalize the water fountain as part of its urban renewal initiative.

The fountain, initially built by the Adams Oshiomhole-led administration, had become a popular attraction, especially during festive periods.

However, it fell into disrepair under the Obaseki administration due to lack of maintenance.

Governor Monday Okpebholo also toured ongoing road rehabilitation projects and inspected the Benin Central Hospital located in the heart of Benin City.
