Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan.
The Governor commended Muslims for their devotion, discipline, and commitment throughout the holy month, which was marked by fasting, prayers, and acts of charity.
He noted that the virtues of sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, and selflessness demonstrated during Ramadan are vital for building a peaceful and united society.
Governor Okpebholo urged the Muslim community to sustain these values beyond the fasting period and continue to promote peaceful coexistence among citizens, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, economic growth, and the welfare of all residents of Edo State.
The Governor also called on the people of the state to use the festive period to pray for peace, stability, and development in Edo State and Nigeria as a whole.
Governor Okpebholo wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
