Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering durable and high-quality infrastructure across the state, modeled after the standards seen in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Speaking to journalists during an inspection tour of various ongoing road projects across Esanland, Governor Okpebholo emphasized that his government is focused on practical, people-centered governance through meaningful infrastructural development, an approach he has pursued since assuming office six months ago.
May 12, 2025, marks exactly six months since Senator Monday Okpebholo took office as Governor of Edo State, following his inauguration on November 12, 2024.
From his first day in office, Governor Okpebholo pledged to deliver practical and impactful governance, six months on, he’s already making visible progress.
One of the administration’s flagship projects is the ongoing construction of the Ramat Park flyover in Benin City—the first ever in the metropolis. The project stands as a bold statement of the governor’s commitment to transformative infrastructure across Edo State
Governor Okpebholo led his team to inspect several ongoing projects in Esanland, including roads such as Efandion–Uromi, Atani–Uromi, Uromi–Ubiaja, and the Federal Technical College Road, as well as Utako–Uromi, Onewa–Uromi roads, the Udomi underground drainage system, and the newly renovated Udomi Primary School.

During the visits, large crowds of appreciative residents gathered to welcome the governor, expressing support for his developmental efforts. Governor Okpebholo assured them of his administration’s commitment to fulfilling their expectations and delivering on his promises.
Following the inspection in Esanland, the governor returned to Benin City to visit the ongoing construction of the Ramat Park flyover, where significant progress is being made.
