Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has inaugurated the transition committee Chairmen and their deputies.
Inaugurating the chairmen who he chose to address as mayors, Governor Otti charged them to ensure unprecedented development of the local government areas.
Governor Otti who tasked the mayors on improving agriculture in ways that enhance output, said that the focus should be on development, as captured in the title of his speech, “expanding the frontiers of development”,
The elated Chairmen who spoke through the mayor of Isialangwa South, Elelenta Elelenta, pledged to discharge their duties effectively.
Having been inaugurated, the 17 local government mayors, are expected to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the local communities.
