Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi has sent a congratulatory message to his Bayelsa State counterpart, Senator Duoye Diri on the unanimous decision of the Court of Appeal, affirming his victory at the 16th November 2019 Governorship Election.
Governor Umahi is gratified that the mandate of the people of Bayelsa State and the overwhelming victory which their Governor earned at the polls were not truncated by shear judicial technicalities.

“The Appeal Court’s judgment is therefore a bold confirmation of the choice of the electorates, expressed in their votes at the polls.”
He commended the people of Bayelsa for their solidarity and confidence in the ability of Governor Duoye Diri to deliver democratic dividends to them.
Governor Umahi further assures Senator Diri of the prayers and best wishes of the government and people of Ebonyi State throughout the period of his judicial struggle.
