Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, is optimistic that the state will become West Africa’s aviation regional hub.
Governor Eno said this at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, after disembarking from the maiden flight of the new Airbus A220-300 aircraft owned by the state airline company.
In the past few years, the Akwa Ibom State Government has steadily made progress in aviation development.

From the success story of the state-owned airline company to excellent aviation infrastructure, the state has been a trailblazer.
Another feat was recorded when the airline company began its inaugural flight with the brand new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, recently delivered by its manufacturer.

Governor Umo Eno and some members of his cabinet were on the maiden flight from Uyo to Lagos and back.
Eno assured that the remaining nine planes were on course for delivery.
Akwa Ibom State is the first state in Nigeria to run a commercial airline company, which has received accolades from industry players.
