Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno says his relationship with his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel, is intact.
Governor Eno said this at a church service in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.
Since the defection of Governor Umo Eno from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, speculations have been rife of a breakdown of the relationship between his predecessor and political father, Udom Emmanuel, who has chosen to remain in the PDP.
According to Governor Eno, such speculations were far from the truth. He stated this at a Thanksgiving service to mark the 55th anniversary of the Prelate of the Believers’ Assembly of Nigeria, Isaiah Isong, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.

The Governor assured that he would continue to offer the people of the state good governance.
Though nothing has been heard from former Governor Udom Emmanuel concerning the defection of his successor, the clarification by the Governor will go a long way in calming the hazy political atmosphere in the state.
