Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has donated 10 Armored Personnel Carriers to the Imo State Police Command as part of efforts to fight crime in the State.

Speaking on Tuesday during the commissioning of the security equipments, Uzodimma reinstated his determination to maintain a crime free State and protect the lives and property of the citizens.

Worried about the level of crime in the State, Governor Uzodimma on assumption to office in 2020 had purchased 100 patrol vehicles and a set of Armored Personnel Carriers for security agencies in the State.

The Governor stepped up the fight against crime with more donations of Armored Personnel Carriers to the Police to ensure adequate security and a crime free Imo State.

The Armored Personnel Carriers were commissioned by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali-Baba who commended Governor Uzodimma for his tireless efforts towards ensuring that security agencies are provided with equipment to fight crime in the State.

Security watchers expressed optimism that the injection of these additional armored vehicles will greatly boost the fight against insecurity in Imo State.
