Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has inaugurated the Imo State Boundary Committee, with an appeal to its members to prioritize peaceful resolution of all boundary-related issues within the State.
The Governor emphasized that addressing these disputes decisively and fairly, would foster peaceful coexistence and open the door for increased socio-economic development across Local Government Areas.
Uzodimma reminded the Committee members of the strategic role boundaries play in governance, resource distribution, and community relations, urging them to be diligent, impartial, and proactive in discharging their duties.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated members, the Deputy Governor of the State, who doubles as the Chairman of the boundary Committee, Chinyere Ekumaru expressed gratitude for the trust placed in them and assured the Governor, and people of Imo State of their readiness to make transparency and fairness their watchword
The inauguration, which took place at the Government House Owerri, saw the swearing-in of 15 Committee members tasked with handling inter- and intra-state boundary matters.
