In a bid to strengthen and reposition the Imo State civil service for better service delivery, Governor Hope Uzodimma has sworn-in 24 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in the State.
Speaking at the event held at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House in Owerri, Governor Uzodimma charged the new Permanent Secretaries to serve with integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to the development of the State.

He emphasized that their appointments were based purely on merit and objectivity, without any external influence or favoritism.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Chidiebere Okeji expressed gratitude to the State government for the opportunity, pledging that the new Permanent Secretaries would work diligently to support the administration’s development agenda.

As part of efforts to enhance their efficiency and ensure smooth operations in their respective Ministries, each of the newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries received an official vehicle from the State government.
