Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has commended the Nigerian Army and Navy for extending their hands of service beyond their core mandates by providing basic social amenities for communities in the state in support of the government’s efforts.
The governor said this at the commissioning of some facilities donated to Koya Community in Shanono Local Government Area of the state as part of their civil military relations initiatives.
The intervention, which includes medical facilities, twenty boreholes across wards, school buildings and other social needs, are carried out in honour of two brothers in the Nigerian military, Major General Muhammad Ahmad and Rear Admiral Abdullahi Ahmed, in their hometown of Koya in the Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State for their services to the nation.
