The Imo State Government has banned officials of the State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO) from the state roads over shameful conduct.
It added that any official of the Commission found on the streets harassing motorists are to be arrested by the Police and prosecuted.
Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba told newsmen after the state executive meeting that government has been receiving complaints from the public on the nuisance caused by persons who claim to be officials of ENTRACO.
In another development, the Commissioner for Works, Imo State has been directed to revoke the contract for the rehabilitation of Naze-Ihiagwa-Obinze road and re-award same to a more committed contractor.
The commissioner disclosed that banks are to recover the mobilization fee paid to the contractor handling the now revoked Naze-Ihiagwa-Obinze road.
