The 27th of August 2022 makes 31 years since the creation of Taraba State in North-East Nigeria and also a time to reflect on how the State has fared in different sectors.
To mark the anniversary, the Governor Ishiaku made a statewide broadcast, on the journey since his administration assumed office in 2015.
He identified the development of human capital, as one of the lasting legacies his administration has undertaken, with the first massive employment since the creation of the State in 1991, and also skills acquisition programmes to complement the effort to provide employment.
Governor Ishaku says despite scarce resources, his administration made milestone achievements with the upgrade of health facilities in the three senatorial zones of the State, and the construction of major access roads to hundreds of farming communities.
In the same light, the first flyover, and dual carriage road in the state have been completed, giving Jalingo the state capital a face-lift, with the projects awaiting commissioning.
Indeed, 31 years of the journey for Taraba State has not been without challenges, but Governor Ishaku in his broadcast urged the people to be hopeful for even a better future, and tasked them to shun politics of bitterness in the interest of the State.
