Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Sunday, July 30 imposed a 24-hour curfew on Adamawa State, North-East Nigeria.
The curfew follows the dangerous dimension the activities of hoodlums have assumed across Yola, the state capital as they attacked the state central stores of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and carted away food items among others. NEMA State Coordinator, Ayuba Ladan described the impact of the attacks as massive.
The hoodlums also attacked people with machetes and broke into business premises carting away property.
Fintiri in a statement by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Womosikou said only those on essential duties with valid identification would be permitted to move around during the period of the curfew.
