Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, South East Nigeria, has appealed to the residents, not to shy away from the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination exercise in the state.
The Governor spoke at the flag off ceremony of COVID 19 vaccination exercise, at the State owned Teaching Hospital, Park Lane Enugu.
The Governor himself had on Monday, taken the jab at the Government House, Enugu.
He commended the Enugu State health officials and other partners, for their commitment in the fight against COVID19 pandemic in the state, stressing that the vaccine is given free.

The Governor advised the people to continue to adhere to the NCDC precautionary measures, despite taken the vaccine.
Representatives of the World Health Organization, WHO; UNICEF and other partners, offered their goodwill messages at the event.
Top State government officials and key stakeholders equally took their jabs.
